Does wearing basketball shoes reduce the damge on kness while skipping?

i have reebok pumps. those high top which is till above the ankles. so does it reduce any damage when im skipping on hard ground? THANKS!!!

you should consider the folowing in your shoe first the heel and second the feet arc the heel should be a spongy or have some desigen to be a shock absorbant cose most of the shock is going to go to the heel and if the shoe has a bad designe for the heel that can not absorb the shock then it will reflect back to the forleg going back to the knee and for the feet are it is the arc that could be founfd in the inner part of the shoe it should fit your feet inner arc so the will support them during your workout other whise you will have a very painful injury called interosis membrane inflamation
