Do they measure basketball players with shoes or shoes off?

i want to know if they do

Do they measure basketball players with shoes or shoes off?
i guess shoes off , but it isnt important, they all wear shoes when they play against eachother and it is especially noted, just to see the difference between players guarding eachother
Reply:probably shoes off, but when they show their height in their stats, they usually round up an inch or two!
Reply:take off an inch or two and that is how tall a basketball player really is
Reply:since my best buddy is a bball player i would know cuz i asked that. She said the coach decides. MAny times they make u take them off. That is becuase the soles will make u taller by bout an inch or so.
Reply:With high heels....That's why they are listed taller that they really are.....
Reply:Most of the listed height you see are with shoes (which according to DraftExpress adds 1.25 inches). But some players may intentionally tweak their measurements an additional inch or two to better "suit" the position they're playing. For instance, Charles Barkley listed himself as a 6'6 power forward when he is actually a little over 6'4 w/ shoes. Garnett is 7'1 with shoes but he downgraded his height to 6'11 because he didn't want to be perceived as a center. Hakeem Olajuwon is closer to 6'10 with shoes than his official 7'0 measurement. Duncan is 6'11 with shoes but when he first entered the league, they listed him as 7'0 because they wanted to market the Twin Towers with David Robinson.
